Isolon 500 is an irradiation cross-linked, closed-cell polyethylene foam (IXPE). The material combines high resilience, long service life, moisture resistance and user safety. It is widely used in construction, industrial applications, packaging, as well as in furniture and automotive production. Isolon 500 is manufactured in accordance with technical specification TU 2244-037-00203476-2012, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with relevant standards.
A quality certificate for the material is available for customers on request. To issue the certificate, please specify the batch number as shown on the roll or sheet label.
On request we can also provide:
Technical specifications (TU) are provided only for products purchased from our company.
The material has previously been manufactured under earlier revisions of the same technical specification. Archived documentation can be supplied on request if needed.
Cross-linked polyethylene foam Isolon 500 (IXPE) for thermal and acoustic insulation, packaging and construction applications. Roll cutting from 10 m². Standard colours: white and anthracite grey. Typical roll height – 1.5 m.

The customer is responsible for proper securing and protection of the material during transport in line with agreed terms.
Underlays, sealing tapes, HVAC, pipe insulation, pads and more.
Typical roll range: 1–10 mm; AH grades are available up to 20 mm. Usual roll width 1.2–1.5 m.
| Application | Recom. thickness | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Underlay for laminate / parquet | 2–3 mm | Reduces impact sound, adds resilience. Flat subfloor required, tape all joints. |
| Underlay for low-temp underfloor heating | 2–5 mm | For low-temperature systems; foil-faced grades are often used. Follow the heating system guidelines. |
| Interlayer pads / packaging | 1–5 mm | Layer separation, protection against scratches and light impacts. Can be slit into sheets and strips. |
| Sealing tapes / anti-squeak | 1–3 mm | Self-adhesive options simplify assembly; damping of joints and panel interfaces. |
| Acoustic underlay (floating floor) | 3–5 mm | Impact sound reduction; taped joints, no gaps or “bridges”. |
| Ducts (HVAC), panels | 5–10 мм | Thermal and vapour insulation; often with foil facing. Joints sealed with aluminium tape. |
| Pipe insulation (spiral wrapping) | 5–10 mm | 1–2 spiral layers; consider pipe diameter and operating conditions. |
| Construction underlays / separation layers | 3–8 mm | Compensates minor unevenness, decouples materials, moisture-resistant. |
Service temperature range: −60…+80/100 °C depending on grade (AH/AV). Detailed limits – see the Isolon 500 datasheet.
