Short answer: LIRIDA-M is a wholesale supplier. Typical orders start from pallet-level quantities of Isolon, Warmlex or Isolontape, with the possibility to agree smaller pilot batches for new projects and sample-based trials.

This article explains typical minimum order quantities (MOQs) for EU customers purchasing IXPE/EPE foams and self-adhesive tapes from LIRIDA-M, and how pilot batches can be organised for new projects.

General MOQ principles

LIRIDA-M supplies materials to distributors, manufacturers and project-based buyers. As a result, minimum order quantities are linked to:

  • product family – Isolon 300/500, Warmlex, Isolontape;
  • format – rolls, sheets, tapes, custom-cut parts;
  • stock vs. made-to-order – standard items vs. special thicknesses and densities;
  • logistics model – full pallets, mixed pallets or consolidated shipments.

Note: We do not operate as a retail supplier. Very small quantities are handled only as samples or agreed pilot batches, not as regular business.

Typical MOQ by product family

Indicative starting levels for EU clients are as follows (exact figures depend on grade and format):

  • Warmlex (EPE) rolls: pallet-level quantities with a practical minimum based on roll width, thickness and density.
  • Isolon 300/500 rolls or sheets: pallet-level quantities for each selected thickness/density combination.
  • Isolontape and other XPE/IXPE tapes: minimum runs defined by tape width, length and adhesive type; combining several widths within one order is often possible.
  • Mixed pallets: for some projects, different foam grades and sizes can be combined on one pallet, provided overall volume remains within wholesale range.

In each case, the commercial offer will clearly indicate the minimum production or shipment quantity per item and the most efficient pallet configuration.

Important: For non-standard thicknesses, densities or surface options, MOQs are determined by production constraints. Custom IXPE/EPE grades may require higher minimum volumes than standard stock items.

Pilot batches and project start-up

For new EU projects it is often useful to start with a pilot batch:

— a smallest practical production lot that still fits the process on the manufacturing side;
one or two selected grades instead of a full matrix of densities and thicknesses;
limited number of SKUs to simplify initial logistics and stock management.

Once the material is validated in your application and regular demand is confirmed, MOQs can be optimised for full pallet or truck utilisation.

Checklist for EU buyers

— indicate whether the project is in trial, start-up or serial production phase;
— provide estimated monthly or annual consumption per foam grade;
— specify if mixed pallets (several items on one pallet) are acceptable;
— ask for the most efficient pallet and MOQ configuration in the quotation;
— consider a pilot batch before committing to larger volumes.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can we order a single small roll or a few sheets? Such quantities are normally treated as samples or pilot batches and agreed individually, not as regular orders.
  • Can different thicknesses be combined in one shipment? Yes, in many cases we can combine several items on one pallet or in one truck, provided the total volume meets wholesale logistics requirements.
