Short answer: To prepare a clear quotation we need basic information on the application, foam type (Isolon, Warmlex or Isolontape), required thickness and density, formats, estimated volumes and preferred Incoterms and delivery country.

This article explains which information EU buyers should include in their enquiry to receive a precise technical and commercial offer from LIRIDA-M for IXPE/EPE foam materials.

Technical information we need for foam selection

To propose a suitable grade and configuration of Isolon, Warmlex or Isolontape, please provide:

  • Application – flooring underlay, HVAC insulation, packaging, gasket, automotive, construction detail, etc.
  • Foam family – if already known: NPE (Warmlex), XPE/CPE (Isolon 300), IXPE (Isolon 500), XPE/IXPE tapes (Isolontape), EVA or PE/EVA.
  • Thickness range – target thickness in mm (for example, 2–3 mm underlay, 5–10 mm packaging foam, etc.).
  • Density or firmness – approximate density in kg/m³ or a description of required stiffness (soft, medium, hard).
  • Format – rolls, sheets, tapes, strips, die-cut parts or other formats.
  • Surface options – plain, embossed, foil-faced, film-coated, adhesive on one side, etc.
  • Specific technical constraints – temperature range, contact with particular materials, acoustic or thermal targets where known.

If exact grades are not yet defined, a short description of the project and reference materials you currently use is often enough to suggest initial options.

Note: If you are at an early evaluation stage, it is acceptable to provide ranges (for example, “2–5 mm, medium density, for laminate underlay”). We can then confirm what is technically realistic and propose sample sets.

Commercial and logistics information for a complete offer

Alongside the technical details, we also require basic commercial and logistics parameters:

  • Estimated volume – initial order size (for example, number of rolls, m² or m³) and potential annual volume.
  • Delivery country and destination – city, country and whether delivery is to a warehouse, factory or logistics hub.
  • Preferred Incoterms – for example, FCA, CPT, DAP or other terms you typically use for imports from Belarus.
  • Requested lead time – desired delivery window or project deadlines.
  • Packaging preferences – standard palletisation or specific requirements for labelling and packing.
  • Company details – legal entity name, VAT number and contact information for the enquiry.

With this information, we can indicate whether the material is standard or made-to-order, estimate production time and propose an appropriate logistics scheme for EU supply.

— describe the application and indicate the preferred foam family (Isolon, Warmlex, Isolontape);
— specify thickness, density (or firmness) and required format (rolls, sheets, tapes);
— provide estimated order volume and target delivery country;
— state your preferred Incoterms and requested delivery timeframe;
— add any special requirements for packaging, labelling or documentation.

Important: LIRIDA-M is not a customs broker or tax advisor. We can share our standard HS codes and documentation practises, but final decisions on customs codes and VAT treatment remain with the importer and their advisors.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you help define the foam grade if we only describe the application? Yes. A short technical description and reference to existing materials is usually enough to propose 1–2 suitable options and related samples.
  • Do we need to specify exact Incoterms from the start? It is helpful but not mandatory. If you indicate the delivery country and whether you prefer to organise transport yourself, we can suggest practical Incoterms options.
