This article explains which sample options are available for EU buyers and how to request them. It covers standard sample sets, project-specific samples and basic rules for preparation and shipment.

What types of samples are available?

LIRIDA-M can provide several sample formats for insulation materials Isolon 300/500 (IXPE), Warmlex (EPE) and self-adhesive Isolontape solutions:

  • Standard sample sets – small pieces of the main foam grades and thicknesses, grouped by product family (Isolon, Warmlex, Isolontape).
  • Project-specific cuts – samples in the requested thickness and density, cut from current production or stock when you already have a defined application.
  • Self-adhesive tape samples – short strips or segments of Isolontape and other XPE/IXPE-based technical tapes, supplied on liners.
  • Documentation package – basic technical data sheets and safety data sheets can be attached in electronic form to support the evaluation.

Whenever possible, samples are prepared from current production batches so that EU buyers can assess the real surface, density and flexibility of the materials.

Note: LIRIDA-M is a wholesale supplier. We do not operate a retail sample shop, so very large numbers of small samples or repeated non-project requests may be limited or handled on a cost-covering basis.

How does the sample request and shipment process work?

To prepare useful samples and avoid delays, we recommend the following process for EU customers:

  • Provide basic project information – application (flooring, HVAC, packaging, gasket, etc.), target thickness, approximate density or firmness expectation and expected annual volume.
  • Indicate preferred materials – whether you are interested in Isolon (IXPE/XPE), Warmlex (NPE) or self-adhesive Isolontape solutions.
  • Specify format – small sheets, strips, tape segments or a compact mixed set for initial screening.
  • Share delivery details – company name, address, VAT number and contact person for courier documents.

In most cases, sample sets are prepared within 1–3 working days after clarification of the request. Shipment can be organised in several ways, depending on the country and urgency.

— we confirm which samples can be provided from current production;
— we clarify whether samples are linked to a specific project or a general evaluation;
— we agree on how shipment costs will be handled (customer courier, freight collect or pre-paid and invoiced);
— we send tracking details once the sample parcel has been dispatched.

Important: Sample material itself may be supplied free of charge for genuine B2B projects, while courier costs are usually covered by the customer or included in future orders by agreement.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you include samples in a regular shipment? Yes. When a commercial order is already planned, adding extra sample pieces or tape strips to the pallet is often the most efficient solution.
  • Can we receive very large-format samples? For evaluation we normally send compact pieces. Larger sheets or rolls can be supplied as part of a paid trial batch or first commercial delivery.
